One-Day Post-Abortion Healing Conference
We just completed another
One Day Healing Conference
and are humbled by the way Jesus moved in lives.
Several of the participants had never told anyone about the abortion experiences and were
refreshed to receive mercy and understanding.
A childless woman who had aborted all her teen pregnancies was moved and comforted to discover
other women in the group with the same experience. She had never met anyone else in her sorrowful
position. She knew in her heart that God was not singling her out for this as punishment for the
abortions but it had remained a place of great pain. She rejoiced to place this sorrow once more
in God's hands.
One woman heard Linda discuss the conference on a radio talk show and the Lord told her to
come. She had many excuses, it's too far, I'd need a babysitter and I'm going to a baby shower.
Her child was invited to spent the night and Saturday at a friends home, the pregnant mother
delivered the baby early and was in the hospital so the baby shower was cancelled. With all
her excused cleared she decided to come but had not written down the information. A look at
the station website gave her what she needed and she was blessed by the conference. She is
planning now to attend the Post Abortion Bible Study which begins this week.
One of the Post Abortion Bible leaders from a distant PRC attended with her husband to learn
how to work with men who have abortion pain. They are now hoping to use the One Day Healing
Conference in their Center. So many different needs at met with this informational introduction
to post abortion healing. It is always a joy to see the stories of the individuals the Lord brings
to the event.
We will be presenting our One Day Post-Abortion Healing Conference in Pinellas County,
Florida, on January 31, 2004. Also in Maryland, soon. If you would like to attend, call
us for details.
Daily Contentmen With God
Every morning at Assist CPC, the staff begins with devotions and prayer. This year they used
Howard Ford’s
"Daily Contentment with God".
Each day, the Scripture reading and medication has been an encouragement to the staff!
Repeatedly, it has directly tied to a prayer concern expressed that morning!
More than once we have looked at each other with amazement and said, "God knew just what we
needed to hear today!" On October 30, many of our prayer concerns focused
on family problems where parents needed wisdom in dealing with children and in-laws. What a breath
of refreshment to have the Lord minister to us through Scripture and sound biblical encouragement!
Another way we have used these devotions is as a basis for a Bible lesson at a speaking
engagement, personal meditation. As Christmas approaches, we have also given this book as a
gift to our major donors, an appreciation gift to volunteers, as a gift to pastors, and to our
post-abortion Bible study attendees at they complete the course. I heartily recommend Howard Ford’s
"Daily Contentment With God" as it contains pastoral wisdom gleaned from decades of Christian
counseling. It is a rich resource to aid you in spiritual growth and renewal.
Acrostic Name Blessings
Cortney, Karyn, Miri, Gioia, Kaua, and Tulip are the unique names of a few of the wonderful volunteers
at Fairfax Pregnancy Help Center.
Chalfont House was able to research the meanings of these names and create distinctive
acrostic name blessings as Christmas gifts.
Over the years, Linda Perry has used name blessings to commemorate births, marriages,
graduations, anniversaries, and to honor individuals at special events.
Because of the enthusiastic appreciation from the recipients, we developed the book
"Acrostic Name Blessings"
so that you too can develop name blessings for your special friends.
If you would like Chalfont House to create name blessings for you, just give us a call! Special
rates are available for bulk orders.
CareNet Conference - Atlanta
We were thrilled to meet so many of you at our booth! Thank you for stopping by and sharing
your words of encouragement about how you are employing our products in your ministry!
Several Directors were especially grateful for our new brochure about Postpartum Depression.
It was helpful for them to learn that teens are several times more prone to have postpartum
depression than are older women.
We will be at the Focus on the Family conference in February. Please stop by our table to
say hello, and register for our drawing: the drawing winners in Atlanta received a free
book of their choice!
Happy Thanksgiving and a Blessed Christmas to you!
Please forward this newsletter to anyone you think would be interested.
May God bless you and keep you.
