What People Are Saying About This Book:
Although it appeared that my finding your site was random, I
sincerely believe that God lead me to your site. While looking at
the samples provided, I immediately knew that this was something I
needed to do as a ministry to the glory of God. I can see this as
an outreach method to share God's words with others.
I am excited about applying the techniques of the Acrostic Name
Blessings and sharing God's Word with others. Many, many thanks
and blessings to you.
--Lavonne
"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old
has gone; the new has come!" This truth is so life-affirming and
so life-changing. Yet it can be difficult for new Christians to
accept, or for those who are struggling in their lives. Linda
Perry, in this book, "Acrostic Name Blessings", gives us a
wonderful tool to instill the truth through a gift that is so
personal and unforgettable. To change the way people think about
their name is to change the way they regard themselves. Linda
explains so practically how names can be transformed into an
assurance of grace, hope for the future, and a calling to Godly
significance. I heartily recommend her book. --Curits J.
Young, Senior Pastor Presbyterian Church of the Atonement
Acrostic Name Blessings provides everything you
need to begin a meaningful tradition for family, friends, or
volunteers. They are the Word of God woven into a name to reflect
personal qualities others admire. To the recipient the acrostic
blessing will surely be a cherished keepsake. --Carol
Bauer Wife of former Presidential Candidate
This book is a great resource for anyone who wants to
give a personalized, creative, meaningful gift. It is very helpful
for the creation of awards for staff and volunteers as well as
donor appreciation gifts. --Peggy Hartshorn, President
Heartbeat International
In post-abortion healing classes we find that naming the
aborted child can be a powerful experience for the individual.
Acrostic name blessings can affirm class members by encouraging
them through their own name and the name they choose for their
child. An acrostic name blessing is an outstanding gift to be
given at the end of a post-abortion class, conference, or during a
memorial service. This book is a must-have resource for
post-abortion leaders. --Sydna Massee, President Ramah
International
I just wanted to tell you again how much I appreciated your
kindness in researching my name and putting Scripture to it. What
a blessing!! It really speaks to my heart. --Diana
Thank you for this very interesting book -- Acrostic Name
Blessings -- I want to do this Blessing for my
grandchildren. --Louise
Thank you so much for the Blessing book. I have already enjoyed
going through it, but I also have a special plan for it: I do
counted cross-stitch and I hope to do one for each of our kids and
later our grandchildren. It is a lovely book! --Katherine

Note To The Reader
This book is a guide to creating a keepsake acrostic that records
a blessing, based on the letters of a name.
We have created dozens of these name blessing acrostic gifts over
the years, spending an hour or more on each one because we had to
pour through the Bible to find a verse with the desired sentiment
that also started with a particular letter of the alphabet! This
task was quite time consuming.
To make a name blessing acrostic easier for you to compose, the
heart of this book is a compilation of verses for each letter of the
alphabet. We also demonstrate a number of ways that an acrostic name
blessing can be used: it's not just for baby names!
We have seen that a name blessing acrostic is a powerful healing
or teaching tool when used in ministry, in addition to being a
cherished gift. We pray that you also will find it a blessing.

Sample Acrostic:
Board
Be
generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be
helped. Proverbs 11:25
O God, thou
art my God; early will I seek thee. Psalm 63:1a
Again I say
to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they
may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 18:19
Remain in
me, and I will remain in you ... you cannot produce fruit alone but
must remain in me. John 15:4
Draw near
to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8a
Note: For this example, we wanted to convey the
attributes of a good board of directors: generosity, willingness to
seek God, unity, and dependence on God. An acrostic such as this
might be used as a devotional at a meeting or planning retreat, or
even as a gift to a new board member or as part of a Board Manual.
The book shows you how to format the acrostic to be visually
pleasing.
